REFERRES ALREADING SHOWING THEIR COLOURS ('red' in this case) 10 against 11 Germans... Of course, Germans must reach the final. My prediction, a final between England and Germany. "chris1lprice" -- OK,... I just felt that the sending off was unfair to say the least. About Germany and Argentina I fully agree. What a match. By the question I was implying that the Germans are too good to need that sending off. They donot need a referee helping them.

not this year England went to Germany with a lot of injuries and this will effect the play of England they are not going to make it.the swede probably deserved it .they have a couple of guys that think the yellow card is part of there uniform .check the Sweden England match for examples .Germany is strong but so is Brazil Australia is the real sleeper they played Brazil up to the last minute and missed alot of potential goals but that's part of the game.Spain ,Italy and Mexico two struggling teams.England isn't able to face off with Brazil or Germany both would run them into the ground with England forced into a defensive game as with the Sweden match second half when they still had some strikers that could walk.the depend on a young 18 year old to see them thru the world cup.alot of people thought England was gambling with the selection well it came back and bit them in the first round that they struggled out to advance.

That is a stupid, ignorant assessment of the situation. It is obvious to any true football fan that Germany is just outplaying Sweden. While the sending off of Lucic was probably too much, the teams should have known that this official is a prick who has no problem handing out cards like it's freakin' candy! However, I do not think this play will keep up from Germany as they will most likely have to play Argentina in the next round who will overcome the Germans with their superior firepower!

The refs are a bit too much. They show unwarranted yellow and red cards and when there is an actual foul(a hand ball) they don't see that. Germany really does not need help. They are doing fine on their own considering the fact that their two goals were scored when the teams both had 11 men and they are as yet to score now that the Swedes are one man down. They are holding their own and do not need the refs help.
