As soon as you start showing. I suggest coco butter cream. My best friend used it daily throughout her pregnancy and has no stretch marks.

I started using it right away with my last one, I used the Avon strech mark and cellulite cream. Another thing you can do is to buy some high waist light control briefs. The support in them helps alot, I learned this too late last time(Ihad them above by belly button) But I started wearing them after the 6th month and I didn't get anymore after that. I'm a big girl so I got mine at avenue, just buy them a size bigger than normal at first then go up as you need to. They make great maternity underwear since you can't find any that go over the belly anywere.

This is what more than one Doctor has told me. Either YOU WILL have stretch marks or YOU WON'T. It's kinda in your genes. Basically, the lotions will just keep the skin from being too dry and making you scratch at it. The scratching of the tightly stretched skin will create more stretch marks. I know several people who have used creames during their whole pregnancy and still had stretch marks, and I never once used it and I dont have one stretch mark.
Vitamin E is a good vitamin to take to keep skin elastic and more stretchable but isn;t gauranteed to prevent stretch marks...just to keep them from getting worse than they have to.

Start now! Keep that belly hydrated and supple. I used pure lanolin oil (you can get it at any natural food store, maybe even a GNC) and Extra Emollient Night Cream from Mary Kay from the moment I knew I was pregnant and I have no stretch marks. They both really helped, but I think it was the lanolin that was the most beneficial.

Do it from the very beginning, but from my own personal experience, baby oil works great and it's cheaper.

when my sister got pregnant, she started using it immediatly, you never know how your skin will react to the slighest change. also, i have really big boobs naturally, and i use it on my boobs and it has helped...i dont have those nasty purple strachmarks, but if im not wearing a bra and you feel the skin, you can feel them. you cant really see them though...but i use it on my legs and tummy and boobs even though im not prego...it really works!!
