be as honest with her as you have been with us...
it may hurt for a moment..but in the end you discover a great friendship blooming out of your truthfulness...
not telling her, and avoiding her, will only lead to hurt for her and you.
her, because she will always wonder why?
and you, because you are carrying a secret, that would cause no harm to share...{guilt}

Give her the "kiss of death" speech. Tell her you really like her as a friend, but there's no chemistry between you. If she still doesn't get it, tell her "no" in no uncertain terms. You're hurting her by stringing her along with excuses and letting her think there's hope in the future.

Simply tell her that you are very cautious about developing relationships with women you work with, because such things have the potential to be very distressing, should things ever go awry. Ask her to keep the work relationship professional. If she persists beyond that, then it is harassment and should be taken to a manager.

then stop playing! You're only making it worse. Every time you make an excuse, you'regiving her hope. If she's a no-no on your list then make it clear that she doesn't figure in your future plans. You can then stop feeling guilty as well.

Hon, like my granny always said....
"Plain talk, is easily understood."
Just tell her that you really like and care about her, as a friend....but, you just don't have romantic feelings for her.
Also, I know from experience.....dating co-workers can get very messy!
I just know, that I'd rather a guy come out and tell me his true feelings. Skirting the issue....not being direct, and honest...it just poor communication skills.

Wait a while and tell her you're seeing someone. Unless you don't care if she talks to you, then ignore her

Be firm and tell her you are not interested in dating. If it continues file a sexual harrasment claim.
