I had a FSH done, and it shows I am not going through menopause. Dr. Put me on provera, and I actually felt like I was drunk for almost 24 hrs. I talked to the pharmacy and they said they have never heard of such a side affect.
I feel like I am going crazy. 3 months of breasts hurting and a pregnancy mask on my face from going out in the sun. I feel sick in the morning, but afternoons I feel fine. Dr. did a urine pregnancy test and that was negative. She also checked my thyroid. Blood tests all normal. Has anyone else felt like this? I can't take the provera, I have two children and a husband to take care of. (I really can't function taking provera)

What will magnisium do? I take vitamins every day.
I do check in with my Dr. She doesn't seem to be at all concerned.
Do you think that it would be possible for a woman's body to make to much progesterone? And actually have to low of estrogen?

I do see an obgyn. She is a expert in her
field. She helped me through an etopic pregnancy last year.

I tried calling her yesterday. She didn't get in until the afternoon. She never did call me back. I am calling her again on Monday. The thing that I can't believe is that she didn't do an actual blood HCG test, and I asked her to. When I had the etopic pregancy, urine test didn't show up positive until I started bleeding. I was 2 months late. I thought I was late because the stress of my grandmother dying.

You're on the right track working with your doctor. I would think that a referral to an endocrinologist would be in order. Ask your doctor for a referral to an OB/GYN first with followup by an endocrinologist if that doesn't reveal anything.

Stay the course and keep your doctor informed of any side effects from any medications. You didn't mention what you doctor said about the side effects. If you haven't told him or her, you should!

Make absolutely sure that your doctor is aware of ALL vitamins and supplements that you are taking. In the wrong dose, even vitamins can be toxic! If you are eating a healthy diet, you probably do NOT need any vitamin supplements. If your diet is already high in iron, a vitamin supplement that contains additional iron can be very toxic! Ditto for vitamin A!

Whatever you do, do NOT start taking supplements based on advice in this forum. It is NOT medical advice. Nobody here -- myself included -- is qualified to render medical advice here and no medical professional would do so since they are not familiar with your situation!

You sound miserable. I would seek out another medical opinion, preferably an OB-GYN. Sometimes another set of eyes from an expert in their field can help solve the problem. I wish you well.

If I were you, I would regularly go to the doctor to check up on yourself, because this could be a serious problem, Just ask the doc. All you have to do, in a bit serious voice ask him.
