Temperate is north and south of subtropical/tropical.

Boreal forest is coniferous forests.

Tundra is what you'd find near the arctic circle.

I'd say C. Brazil is south of the equator. Tundra is for Green Bay and the Midwest is good for growing grasses like wheat.
I think Colombia which is on or near the equator has a boreal forest. Think I read about it in The National Geographic magazine.
Oops, birds from the Boreal Forest migrate there.
