Kids need entertainment, but that does not have to cost money. Take the kids to the park and let them run around and you've got entertainment.

Your uncle doesn't need Oprah. He needs someone to go over his resume'. He needs to get job counselling and perhaps sign up with a temp agency. His 3 sons need to realize that paying the bills and keeping a roof over their head come before having fun. Depending on how old the kids are, they can get paper routes and jobs mowing lawns to help out.

When you are down, the only way to get up is to "decide" to get up. I lost my job a fews years ago and realized I had to take care of business myself. So I started an office cleaning business. It's not hard to do at all and you can start with just a few dollars for some supplies.

Why don't you check this out for your uncle to see if you think it will help. This site has an ebook about starting a service business and it could be the turning point.

Whatever the situation, there is another door in front of you. Open it!

If they have all the necessities like food and shelter and all you are worried about is entertainment then why not help out yourself? There are a ton of things you can do that don't require money. Kids had been entertained for years before expensive toys, video games, and movies.

How old are the kids? How close do you live? You could take them to the park or an exploration nature walk. Invent games and contests. Do they have bikes? Go on a bike ride with them.

If they are classified as low income they can get free toys from a number of organizations.

go to unemployment and he should get some money til he finds a job or they're maybe jobs other places, but not where you live; he might need to move. Tell him to try the best that he can and don't be picky about a job just get whatever you can because it is easier to find a job when you already have one.
