Around 30ish and no it is not only to be taken on medical advice its to protect yourself from the possiblility of a heart attack and its only 80mg thats hardly enough to even help out a headache usually you'd take at least 200mg....

It is recommended at age 55-60. It is strictly preventative. Make sure you take the 81 mg to minimize side effects of aspirin, etc.

I started taking these when I was 65, but I take 8 a day to make up for all the missed ones.

I lied about being 65 as well as taking the tablets just in case you weren't sure.

check your family history. if there is heart disease consult a doctor. i know a couple of fellows that had heart attacks in their early 30's. best practise is don't smoke, eat right and exercise. i don't believe in taking any medication unless it is really necessary.
