I got bit by a spider that is shaped like a black widow, but it is kinda colored up like a rattlesnake. Can anyone help me? Do I need to be concerned and rush to the hospital or what?

black, this aint a joke. dont answer if you arent mature enough for it. I know it isnt a brown recluse, they are shaped more like wolf spiders.

If it has been two days since you were bitten and there are no problems showing up you have
nothing to worry about. While almost all (not all)
spiders have venom most of them have little or
no effect on vertebrate animals, the poisons are
adapted to kill insects and other invertebrates.
Your description of the spider does not contain
enough information to identify it. One of the most
common spiders shaped like a black widow is the
common comb-footed house spider Achaearanea
tepidariorum. It is harmless.
For information on spider bites in general, with
special reference to brown recluses, but also
mentioning others, see an article titled "Bites of
brown recluse spiders and suspected necrotic
arachnidism" by D.L.Swanson and R.S.Vetter
in New England Journal of Medicine, vol. 352,
pages 700-707, Feb. 2005.

If it's swelling yes and painful I would go to the doctor. You should also be able to call the local hospital and ask they may be able to help with out having the bill of a hospital appt for no reason. Since someone suggested brown recluse I added a link for you to look at

It is not I repeat NOT a brown recluse! I have seen the kind of spiders you speak of but don't know what kind except for look up a picture of a brown recluse and you'll see it doesn't look colored up like a rattle snake! If you start feeling sick, go to the ER. If not don't worry.

if u have the spider, keep it and show it to an expert. not only the brown recluse can cause gross tissue necrosis several to many days later even if the bite itself didnt make u sick. I hope u are fine and will stay so. i am sorry i am of no help - i live in a country where no spiders can harm a human.

Supposedly in the US the only dangerous spiders are the hobo spider, the brown recluse (also called brown fiddle spiders) and the black widow. You can see photos of the brown recluse at the link below. If that's what it was, you definitely need to go the hospital. Good luck!

I'm not sure actually. I think I know what spider you got bite by but I don't know if it's poisonous. It's probably not. If you feel concerned about because it hasn't gone away or started looking better you should probably go to the docter and have him check it out. Your probably safe though because there are only a couple of poisonous spiders in the world. Good luck.

Yeah, I'd go in or at least call the ER. If it's a brown recluse (or just a funky looking widow) you need to get treatment!

If the bite mark becomes red or irritated, be a bit concerned. But, most likely it's a house spider, no biggy. Just ice the bite so it won't swell.

If you don't know, then YES, go to the hospital. Remember that ALL (yes ALL of them) spiderbites are poisoness.
Probably just a gardenspider, but still.
their bite is typically less harmful than a bee sting.
But please look into it and go and ask a doctor or someone who knows about spiders!!!
!!! ***If its BLACK GO TO THE HOSPITAL!! NOW!!!***
