File a complaint with the Chamber of Commerce where the company is. If you bought it by mail, file a complaint with the Interstate Commerce Commission.
Start a case with the State Attorney General's office where the company is. Most Atty Gen's have web sites with a complaint form.

Without proof, you may get nothing.

Keep in mind that if they were willing to steal your memory, they probably went through your drive looking for data to steal such as passwords, account numers, ids and so on. This seems to be common practice at many repair shops.

You should change all your passwords as soon as possible.

My advice to anyone taking a computer to a repair shop:
-- Remove the hard drive.
-- Take photos of the interior.
-- Attach an exact description of the computer to your work order listing all you can think of: memory size, OS, hd make/model/size, etc.

This is not a paranoid thing to do these days.

Good advice from "sheeple_rancher". Somebody who would stoop that low is capable of anything! Change those passwords, NOW!! Then report them to the Attorney General in your state and to the BBB.
