Is it nVidia, ATI, or some other company? Methinks it is ATI.

I'm an nVidia fan myself. Used their technology for years and have had no problems with it.

Both ATI and NVidia are well established technologies for video cards. They use slightly different technology in the way their video cards work, but they both work the same.

You'll find that NVidia technology is more commonly used in a variety of different manufactures of video cards. You'll also find that many games will be designed for use with NVidia cards.

On the flipside, ATi usually have more specialty cards (TV-compatible) as well as games designed for their use.

So really it's all a matter of opinion and personal choice. Kind of like Ford and Chevy.

ATI and Nvidia are well matched. Sometimes it's Nvidia Sometimes it's ATI. I prefer Nvidia though.

Nvidia seems to be better in OpenGL games such as doom3 where ATI is better in Direct3D games such as Half Life2 I prefer ATI because their image quality is also much more crisp than Nvidia's.
