Absofrigginlutely. Love knows and has no boundaries. Who is someone else to try to define the meaning of Marriage and/or love when clearly there to closeminded to be open to either, yet alone people's rights. And the higher powers that be did not intend on such a self-righteous movement that was cause for a mass hysterian-fad that modern religious cults deliver. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to the darkside -- and since this isn't a galaxy far, far away I guess those who fear the unknown or what they stereotype as an odditity in their eyes and the eyes of God will perish in hell.

Yes, i do. I'm not gay,but gays and lesbians deserve to be treated like everyone else. Hated them just bcuz they aren't exactly like us is just wrong. As a matter of fact, i think it's very unconstitutional. "All men are created equal" that includes gays and lesbians. The government is taking this way too far, just because they don't like it. They are hating people for being born the way they were. I would love to see the day when a gay or lesbian runs for president, then i would love to see how it would work out. And if people don't vote for them just because of that, then the saying"land of the free and home of the brave", will be a thing of the past.

LOL That's funny, the way you staged that question; makes me want to say, yes, let the gay guys marry the lesbian women! hehe

But seriously, I'm sure you didn't mean it that way. They'd kill each other, anyway! Well, I honestly don't see a reason why not. Aren't the only reasons against it to be the religious arguments? If that's the case, I say let them go ahead. I don't like religious people setting up the laws anyway.

Marriage is a vow between two people who love each other to be there for their spouse and to be their partner in life.

From a legal and secular standpoint, it shouldn't matter one whit if the two people are male and female, male and male or female and female, as long as they are consenting adults who are able to understand the commitment they are making.

From a religious standpoint there is frequently contention -- for many reasons -- one being that in the beliefs of some religious traditions sex in marriage is for procreation --- having children --- and not simply to seal a relationship. In fact, some religions have considered sex outside of marriage and sex without intent to have children as being taboo -- hence the problem some religions have had with birth control.

So, my answer is that yes any adult who wishes to get married in a civil ceremony should be allowed to do so, however, if a same sex couple wishes to be married in a church they would need to find a church which has a compatible theology.....

Regrettably, it's not as simple as I would like it to be.....

No, God attend men and women only to get married and have kids! People who choose to be gay have chosen a wrong lifestyle, and don't deserve to be married. If they want to get married do the should do the right thing and marry the opposite sex & have kids like other people do.
Remember it is a huge sin against God to be gay.

No, because marriage is between a man and a woman in the eyes of God. Straight people bog down the courts enough getting divorced let alone to ad Adam and Steve into the equation. I think that they should be allowed to have benefits of being together like insurance, and rights of survivorship but,not marriage. It was not ever meant to be and if it was there would have been no Soddomn and Gamora.

no i think people that are gay have psychological problems because humans were not made to be with the same sex. I mean the world would not multiply if it was that way. Plus the majority of gay guys have aids its just wierd and now we would have to redefine the word marriage which is between a man and a women not same sex. Even animals have more sanity because they mate with opposite sex.
I hope no one gets offended but everyone is intitled to there own opinon!!!!!!

I believe for legal reasons if they are going to be together for a long time they should be united but to call it marriage ,no..Civil union is a good name for it. And it should allow for all rights as a married couple, such as insurance, wills, during illness and during death. In this world today when you say marriage you think man & woman. I have gay friends and still belive this way.

If you mean to people of the opposite sex because they have been able to overcome their perverted urges then yes.

Homosexuals cannot marry a person of the same sex. The primary purpose of marriage is to produce children for God. That's like saying you "married" your dog to another dog. It just can't happen.

My personal opinion is that it is wrong. But I am no one to judge anyone. I am not a lesbian therefore I cannot say how I feel about this. Only God can judge people, we are supposed to be in this world to love and honor God and one another.
