Republicans are planning to change the law to stop black, Hispanic and Native American voters going to the polls in 2008. The Republican party's decision yesterday to "delay" the renewal of the Voting Rights Act has not a darn thing to do with objections of the Republican's white sheets caucus.

I am very concerned, i know the issue, i have read the reasons stated and am troubled.

the republican apologist, are not concerned with any legitmate voting right.

for example the election of 2000 where blacks were denied the right to vote.
not a peep.
or in 2004
when 3 million votes were contested by republican opertatives, a large percentage military absentee.

not a peep about counting votes.


as you can see the republican concerns are suspect in the very least and their defenders/ apologist are even more troubling.

Republicans oppose renewing a law that covers only 9 states and want the new law to cover every state.

Those damn Republicans - protecting civil rights all over again just like they had to do when they fought to pass the 1964 civil rights acts that you scum bags filibustered.
