Oprah Winfrey / Madonna, I think both of these women, Madg has been more so at a constant since 86 but Oprah has really taken over within the last 5 to 10 yrs. I don't particularly agree with most of either one of these ladies opinions but they remain popular in todays society for that reason and more.

Margaret Thatcher
She was the longest serving British Prime Minister in the 20th century, the longest since Gladstone, and had the longest continuous period in office since Lord Liverpool. She is also the only woman to be Prime Minister or elected leader of a major political party in the UK and, with Margaret Beckett, is one of only two women to hold any of the four great offices of state. Undoubtedly one of the most significant British politicians in recent political history, she is also one of the most divisive, being loved and loathed in equal measure.
