He probably disaproved of something about "Prez-Bush" and was forced to resign, like so many others!!!! Sadly enough, but these are very wise men, that our Government really counted on, that have willingly resigned, because of Bush, or was forced, too. To save theirselves alot of Political controversy! I miss alot of them!! And I'm of the "Democratic Party". Does this not say Tons, about whos running our country! And, how unfortunate we are, that we still have to deal with this uneducated Prez, for another 2 years! Without Cheney, he couldn't even speak.. He's only good at talking in circles, never really get a straight answer from Mr. Bush.. Cheney's just finishing what he started with father Bush... Taking the American People for all he can get !!! Before, the 2 years are up!!!

Just like so many "famous" anchors, he made a name for himself in the midst of others' suffering (i.e., 9/11 and the Twin Towers). After that, given that there were no more spectacular stories to cover, his true value as a network anchor star became clear. He and CNN had the sense to part before they became as desparate as Dan Rather (who made a name for himself doing Hurricane reports from Texas before the existence of Weather Channel).

He is good. But I miss Bernard Shaw he used to question the cub reporters when they played fast and loose with quotes.
I still remember in the 92 election when Paul Tsongas cancer returned, a reporter was talking about his press conference and the reporter said. Senator Tsongas announced he has had a relapse of cancer but he told his campaign workers "it is full speed a head for now"
Bernard said "wait a second he said full speed ahead for now" The reporter said "well he didn't say for now, I was paraphrasing".
Bernard said, Yeah that didn't make since it would be sending a wrong signal.
CNN needs more Bernard Shaws.
