The new twenty20 format of cricket is getting very famous. It's a shorter version of normal one day cricket game, say one third of the normal. It takes about 3-4 hours to get it done with.

I m pretty sure, very soon this shorter version of cricket will be included in Olympics.
Hoping for the best.

Yes I know there is a game called Cricket.

There have been discussions going on since many years to include Cricket in Olympics, but they have not found any solution to it as it is a very long game, Rules can be changed and the Twenty20 ( shorter version ) can be taken into the games but the main reason is that this game is played throughout the year and the teams involved are already been given match schedules upto 2-3 years in advance.

simply, cricket is played in three forms, the test match which lasts for up to 5 days, the county match which lasts upto 3 days and the limited overs one day match, it would be diffidcult to include cricket in the olympics because of the length of these matches unless a new form of the game was invented taking much less time. personally i would love to see cricket in the olympics.

I think it is not in the Olympics because all the teams that are in Olympics dont know how to play the game and if maybe it come Indian Vs Japan or USA u know that Indian is going to win cuase USA or Japan does not know how to play Cricket and then that is not Fair cuase they need Pratice and they can win if u tell them how to play

ya many of them feel that cricket shud b included in olympics
but i guess they are not being played by many countries though one may argue abt this in baseball too
the main reason is that the major nations are ignorant of rules of this game and dont have the provision for it in their country
but i guess 20-20 cricket should be introduced in cricket in order to let it occupy a place in the olympics

I don't think it's wide-spread enought to be an olympic sport. Plus I think all olypmic sprts have to have rulebooks that weigh less than thirty pounds.
