If you like showtunes then here are some that I like most, plus some of them have an operatic feel to them in case you like that as well-
Wicked
Les Miserables
Passion
Into The Woods
Evita
Cats
The Apple Tree
Candide
West Side Story
and many more, you can find clips of all of these on www.youtube.com

Hope that helps!

First of all, there is no such thing as classical "songs". They are either called arias, if they are from an opera, or lieder if it is a single piece.

Second of all, none of what you mentioned is "classical" music. They're show tunes.

If you want something that sad and has singing that really is classical, I suggest you try Mozart's Requiem. It has both choral and solo parts. The best version is conducted by Peter Schrier with the Dresden State Orchestra and Liepzig Radio Chorus.

The soloists are fantastic - Margaret Price, soprano. Trudeliese Schmidt, mezzo-soprano. Francisco Araiza, tenor. And The Adam, bass.

It is on the Philips label - catalogue number 411 420-2

For non-classical with some opera -- just listen to Freddie Mercury and Queen . . . and people say Opera is awful . . . go figure.

Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. I guarantee you will recognize the song "O Fortuna" at the very least, as it pops up in movies from time to time. ;)
