My girlfriend has said Degree, and is having a hard time finding a job. She doesn't have any experience (can't get the job without the experience, can't get the experience without the job), nor a master's degree, so what options does she have?

If her degree is a B.A, not a B.S., she probably has a deeper concentration in behavioral studies and the philosophical aspect of Psych, as opposed to the Statistical aspect of Psych testing. She will be able to use her training in nearly any job requiring interaction with other people. Teaching, Public Relations, Event Planning, for example.

If her focus was the statistical aspect, than I'd say areas that deal in quantifying aspects of personality, like Temporoary Employment companies that test people for skills to determine where they would be best suited as a Temp. Or School Counseling (M.A. required usually)

She can try going into social work, there are always positions available. Also, working with the developmentally disabled as a counselor/helper. Since this is summer, a camp counselor position may be easy to find. At least it is experience she can put on a resume.

She needs to make her resume shine, and learn to market herself properly. When someone says she don't have experience, she should say "yes, but I am willing to learn and work hard, try me for three months, you won't be sorry".

She can get some experience volunteering. Has she done anything (does not have to be paid) that counts as experience?

She can be a teachers aid, work in the family court system, or go on to get a masters which would put her in a better barganing position.

Tell her to look into ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). ABA targets children as well as adults with Autism and other disorders who can benefit from behavioral therapy. Very hands on. Google it. There are careers for those with a BA/BS and it's a fun one to have.

I would look into being a highschool counselor, with only a BA shes not going to be able to have her own practice anyway.
