o.k. this is my ''specialty'' .I have so many questions. What finish is your concret? An acid stain is not monolithic , which means it will not be one solid color.Acid will have varigations in color , ,example , Acid will have light, dark, medium colors in an overall appearance.Acid also requires a sealer, upon your choice of glossyness.I will say acid stain is your best bet for the long run.But there is a stain called Freestyle, from Brickform, look it up at Brickform,Freestyle.I pretty much run my buisness by doing the freestyle, you have to understand Freestyle is a maintenence system , which means you will probably have to restain every couple of years depending on wear of concrete.I do pool decks, driveways , patios , walkways. you name it.Freestyle is monolithic which means one solid color no varigations.Good luck........Freestyle is not a paint, it penetrates the concrete it is a 3 part epoxy. x-man is wrong ,do some research acid is not an expencive product if you are going to do it your self.Just research it trust me.........

Acid staining is accomplished by a chemical reaction between the concrete agent and the acid used. Concrete stains are similar to a thin paint with a large amount of pigments. Depending on where the staining is needed acid stains will last much longer but will be much more expensive.
