MORE INFO NEEDED

First check if the jumpers are set correctly, and the harddrive is connected correctly. If it still won't pick up in the bios you are in trouble. If it's a new harddrive and you have an old pc try limiting the saize to 32GB using the jumper setting listed on the drive.

If the drive always worked and stopped being detected one day it could be problem with the harddrive or your IDE controller. it would more likely be the drive though. If you can borrow an external USB 2 drive enclosure. Install the drive into it (set jumper to master) and see if windows picks it up. If you can see the drive in windows then there could be something wrong with your motherboard, there could be something wrong with the drives board or other, but seem as though YOU GAVE SUCH LITTLE INFORMATION, we can say it could be one of a hundred things.
