Piercing the tongue is very dangerous, the tongue has more nerves and senses than any part of the body pro-rata and a great deal of damage could be done. I've had my tongue pierced and if you can imagine having an open wound and someone comes along and pours acid into it, that is what the pain is like. If I hadn't had it done already and it was explained to me, I would never go through it! You will not be able to eat anything hot for a while coz it hurts so much. If you like pepper anywhere near your food, after piercing, forget it because anything with unusual or peppered taste goes straight to the hole. You tongue can swell up like 6 slices of bread, you can loose the ability to pronounce 'th' and can become 'ss', any I have it on good authority that unless you wear a spiky tongue bar they can't feel anything anyway. I think that guys imagine that they would be able to feel a tickling but for my money, it is all in their heads! Also my dentist says that the ball can erode the teeth from constantly rubbing the enamel gets worn away.

You Shouldn't. I used To Think It Was Cool Until I started My Comunity Hours In Old Middle School. They have A Paper Posted On The Wall Saying What Infections You Can Get From Piercing Your Tongue. Ugh...I got So Grossed Out. You Should Look Up Info On It. And You Will See How You Would Change Your Mind. Plus Your Too Young.

Hun, this has to be the stupidest place to pierce your body!! It does hurt when they do it, etc. (I have never btw) But I know lots of people who have. You can eat and eventually talk normally. And... most people won't notice it unless you stick out your tongue or open your mouth real wide. The thing that bugs me is when people have their tongue pierced... they play with it - alllll the time. AND if nobody's gonna see it, why do it? I like the cute little eyebrow better! AGAIN... I must declare! Clearly the tongue is the stupidest place to pierce. If you're going more for shock value... pierce your nose! A stud in the nose looks kinda cool...

No you shouldn't.... let me give you the reasons why. #1 It can cause an infection which is very very painful. #2 It distracts from what you are saying because when you are talking people paying too much attention to your tongue piercing. #3 Being different is not always the answer #4 Why mutilate yourself? #5 Personnally I think it looks stupid and I'm definately not alone! #6 I know you are going to do what you what you want to do... most teens do. Just be smart about it don't be stupid!

Nah, your too young. Not just from a legal point of view either. At 13, your body is still growing and wont stop til about 18. Besides, when you get ur tongue done then you pretty much have to make sure someone can watch over you incase your tongue swells up and stops you breathing.

I would wait at least wait until your 18, because then you may have realized whether it's a faze or something you really want to do. I wanted a tongue ring in high school, and my grand parents found out, and gave me a long sex talk. "Do you know why girls get those." After that scaring experience I decided that I never wanted to hear a conversation like that from my family again. So I didn't get one, and I feel that it left me way better off.

NO, don't be stupid. The infection rate is high, yo will continuously make tiny chips in your teeth and over time this is a huge dental problem, and since it shows such poor judgment, who would want to hire you? And do you know WHY people get their tongues pierced? Huh? Do You???? Oh, you do. Are you one then? Is that how you want to be known? And the people I know who had it done told me it hurt like hell. Two people i know suffered nerve damage. people with pierced tongues talk retarded. Every week in our area they have to do emergency tracheotomies on people whose throats swelled close. Lovely cracking open your throat to insert a tube so you can breathe and not die. Don't be a lemming.

Well do you give blow jobs? I'm assuming you want to have people thinking that about you. Go ahead and put your hands on your hips and smack you gum and twist you head from side to side and tell me that you don't care what other people think but here's my two cents for you.

1. A tattoo/piercing parlor will not do work on you because you are underage.
2. Yes you will look like a slut, and people will think that about you, and treat you like a slut because of it. It won't make you look cool, just trashy.

Lastly, Maybe you should focus more on school and spelling, and less on looking like a whore. Save that for college.

Honey, that's a pretty outdated thing to do. Most people who got them back in 1998, took them out by now. It becomes cumbersome, and they also want to get a job, so it comes out. I personally think they are slutty looking, and at thirteen, do you really want the boys to see you as the slut of the school Let's keep it real, you could be the purest of the purest girls, but if you put out that image that you like to perform oral and that you have an extra something to do it, tada, you are what they think you are. Also, like I said, that sort of thing is outdated and out of style.

Sorry to say this is not your decision. You must have parent approval. If you do find someone to do the piercing then your parents can press charges. Wait until you are older and find a certified piercer, my friend's daughter did on her 18th birthday and even though her Mom did not want it done she helped her find a certified piercer and even took pictures of the event.
