Jehovah's Witnesses are an exemplary group of Christians who are working hard to follow the example and commands of their Head Jesus Christ and the Almighty Jehovah God.
A respectful nickname for an adherent of the religion is "a Witness". Referring to a Jehovah's Witness as "a Jehovah" is both ignorant and disrespectful. It ignores the fact that "Jehovah" is the divine name of the Almighty.
Jehovah's Witnesses are unsurprised by bigotry and hatred from this world. Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) “Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

I am A Jehovah Witness and EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinion and to clear up a few things. One we don't change the bible. We live from the bible and the one we have is the one from the original old and new testimate. The reason we are called Jehovahs Witnesses is because One Jehovah is Gods name like we all have individual names and we are witnesses of his divine purpose for the earth. We believe that this present world will end and the new world which is a paradise on earth will come about very shortly. We don't believe that all of us go to heaven. We believe that 144,000 go to heaven and the rest of the righteous ones will live forever on a paradise earth with the resurrected ones that have passed away. All this is in the bible. So if you have any questions let me know I will answer them truthfully from the bible. And we go door to door because that is what Jesus commissioned us to do just as he did. And the branch in new york is not a man made arrangement. That is where all our literature is made there but it is taken from the bible and different experiences. All our info comes from Jehovah and His holy spirit

I think they are entitled to their beliefs as with anyone else. I haven't known many of them, nor know enough about the religion to have a real discussion. If I met any now, and they were a good person, I would like them. I don't care what religion some one is, as long as they have a good heart.
A girl that I went to grade school with was a Jehovah Witness. She was never able to celebrate any of the holidays or birthdays with the rest of the class. I think that was probably hard for a kid to understand. She seemed upset about it. I didn't know her past the 5th grade, so maybe as she matured she didn't mine that aspect about the religion anymore. I don't know.

I personally don't know a lot about the Religion but from what I do know - I don't care for the Religion and wouldn't want to be a Jehovah's Witness - I'm a Christian (Protestant).

I'm a Jehovah Witness. Of course I believe in my religion just like everyone else believes in their religion. I do not criticize anyone Else's religion. What ever religion you are we still all have the same problem. We sill all get sick. We all suffer. We all have one goal right. The goal is to not to end up with Satan. That one goal is it and nothing else. Who will you follow Jehovah God or Satan? Do you believe we were put on this earth to die? What is beyond Death? How to get to paradise? What should you do to receive God's blessings? I know the answers and follow them. Its Simple. We are Simple people who refuse to let Satan Govern us.

Ireally resent people coming to my door to try and get me to change to their religion.
My beliefs are mine, private. I do not believe in going out there, make people hear me out, deduct that their beliefs are wrong, thus they should switch to mine.
Finally ... I remember a day when (I was about 14) i got home with my mother, we'd been Christmas shopping. We were carrying stacks of bags, were tired after our trip, also cold and wet because the weather wasn't really good. Jehova witnesses were at the door and asked mum if they could talk to her. Mum searched for her key in her handbag asked them if they really believed that only 999 Jehovah witnesses would be saved and go to heaven. One of them said yes so mum said that, and as there were thouands if not million of them out there, and as not all of them were promsied to be saved, surely they should save themeslves because if so many of them didn't stand a chance ... Then never mind us!
I'm not extremely against them, nor do i love them. They have their beliefs, i have mine. They believe in God, so do i! So ... I've no problem with them if i don't like people turning up at my door to try change me!!!!

They are okay. I dont hold anything personal against them. They are entitled to their opinions, and rights and freedoms, the same as I am. That said, I wonder how they would like to be awakened at some ungodly hour, early in the morning on THEIR days off. Now THAT, I DO hold against them!!!

Before I came to college I didn't have much against them. But on this campus they are like stalkers. If they see you walking down the street, they'll follow you around asking to talk to you. After 4 years of telling them that I'm perfectly happy with my religion the way it is and no I don't want to listen to them about theirs it has just gotten old. They're entitled to their beliefs, but I do not like how they try to push it onto others.

Do you mean witness as in testifying in court?
What are they witness to? A crime scene?
Is Jehovah accused of something?

I think they're very nice and sincere people. However, they follow the teachings of the Watchtower Society in New York, a man made organization.
