I was just wondering which do you think is better? Macintosh or PC. my art teacher says that Mac is better. My sister who works in text support says that Mac is just good for graphics like if your in to a business involving CAD(computer aided design). she also said that PC is good for everything else. What is your opinion, what do you have and if you had both, which did you think was better?

The new macs can run either OS x or WIndows. I have a Mac, almost a year now, I no longer have skillions of pop-ups, I do not get the blue screen of death, it is stable.
It comes with more software and accessories then Windows, the Dashboard is awesome.
I run MacOffice, so I am office compatible. Which is about the only thing that is essential to communicate with Windows systems.
There is no reason to buy a PC, when now with the Mac, you can have the best of both worlds. Run what is better in your windows session and run the other stuff in the Mac session.

Macs are better for graphic design or other visual projects. PC's are better for other text based jobs, as they are more compatible with the world's technology. So for cad I'd say use a mac.

After much deliberation I have opted to go for a MAC. The reason is that MACS are more reliable, safe and sexy! I walked into a computer store the other day and asked the salesperson that exact question. He said to me that MACS are the new PC because they effectively run Windows XP via an emulator.

macs run both winxp and mac os10 now so the mac really is best. it is ready to go right out of the box for anything you want to do. it has long been known as the best for audio/visual formats. so far it has not been a focus of hackers or viruses although having a firewall and a antivirus is still important as the focus could change.
