Does she have any clues as to your secret passion for her? If not, I wouldn't just spit it out. That's quite an age gap...but true love has no age boundaries. Just try & get an idea of how she is feeling,..then start dropping little hints here & there, maybe you'll get a response. If you receive positive feedback, maybe then you can drop the bomb. That's pretty big news for a 56 year old woman to hear, and the friend of your own mother. Just be careful, choose your words wisely. I know I prefer hearing "I'm in love with you", opposed to the typical "I love you".

You call her and ask if you can go to her house. Tell her you want to ask or tell her something. Go over and tell her how you feel. If you don't she might find someone new and then you won't have a chance. Be forewarned, she may not be interested. But not doing will leave you with a "what if?" that will last the rest of your life. Live with no regrets.

Have you spent any time alone with this woman for any kind of a friendship to transpire??? Just coming out and telling her that you love her??? Feel things out, don't just blurt it out, it might scare her off. Has she given any indication of being friendly with you??? Good Luck!!!
