Here's the correct answer...Yes. Police officers are not immune from the law; if they break it, they are subject to the same penalties as anyone else. Actually, it may even be worse for them, depending on the judge they face...because as officers who are sworn to enforce the law, they have no excuse for breaking it.
What it boils down to is that they are just as human and fallible as anyone else, and must pay the same penalty for their mistakes.

sure they can ,if they are violating the law then they are no better then you or i.they are just people ,cause they are in uniform dont give them any special treatment.the law is the law and everyone has to go by it.
