If their breath smells fishy, I would say that it is head end related, however my cat has a habit of doing SBDs (silent but deadlies), then getting up, smelling the air with disgust, then trotting off for a poo. Therefore I would assume that they do fart....and mine STINKS

Yes.. Also their fecal glands can get dirty and need cleaning. Especially in overweight cats. This smells even worse than a fart.

they certainly do and worse than any dog fart! You dont usually hear 'em, they're silent and deadly, the only time I actually heard little cat trumpets was when our psycho cat was giving birth to her kittens. When dogs trump they always look so guilty!

When I was a teenager, my family had a cat that was certainly capable of passing gas; it was one of the most evil smelling animals I've ever encountered.

I am sure cats just as dogs get gas at times,so I guess they would need to fart to release it.

My dogs fart so I assume your cat can, think about it if they didn't then they'd probably explode!! But be warned they are probably SBD's (Silent but violent)

Yes, they can & when they do you had better pray that you have a cold & can't smell anything. They are deadly.
