I bought a bread machine on eBay and the lady taped it so up thoroughly, that I can't wash off the glue residue! I tried peanut butter, Dawn detergent in some areas -- they didn't work, and the acetone (nail polish remover) only seemed to etch the plastic. Any help?

I second that polish remover & goo gone - to me the only things that every work along with old fashioned lighter fluid. Just test on a small section first as the polish remover will sometimes ruin the pastic

I have to agree with the person who suggested Goo Gone. It takes off residue so easily. It even cleans crayon marks off a wall without disturbing the paint.

A product called Goo-Gone is excellent for removing glue from tape and stickers. Another product called Oops is very good also.

There is this stuff called Citrus Magic , as seen on TV. You can get it at Wal-mart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, etc. Works great! If releases the gummy reside from sticker. Put it on, let it sit & wipe with a soft cloth or toilet paper.

Scotch makes this stuff called Adhesive Remover, it comes in a pen type thingy and it's awesome. There's also Goo Gone, you can find that at any drugstore.
