Definately wine. Have you ever had a cosmo? At first they're great and the effect isn't that noticeable, however after about three, it hits you like a Mac truck and you're drunk. I'm not sure you want your guest smashed within the first hour of the party, so take it easy and go with the wine

Wine, hands down. Have a choice of both red and white since people are kind of particular about the kind of wine they drink. If you don't want to provide a choice, go with white. More people prefer white than red. If you are serving dinner, check to see which wines go best with what you are serving.

Wine would give your guests a choice. You could pick a white and a red. My thoughts are why not have an assortment of cocktails to choose from? Why do you want to limit the choice of your guests?
