Well, that person is trying to live a religious life. Part of some religions is eschewing 'worldly things', and while there might be a grain of wisdom floating around in there(don't get wisdom in your eye, it's painful), the general consensus is that eventually, you have to leave jesus-land and get a JOB. And maybe some, hmm, friends? Then again, some people make it a lifestyle.
Monks walk the holy path, and live a completely different life, and they're good with it. I guess the important thing to look for is GUNS. If it's GUNS n Jesus, slowly, but purposefully find the nearest exit, and seek some professional help for the person...

This is not always the case I'm a former Seventh Day Adventist & a lot of them are religous fanatics. They won't watch TV on Saturday or the Sabbath & God help you if you get sick on the Sabbath! They forbid wine smoking & in some cases they won't eat any meat. On one hand if they see you shopping in the grocery store on the Sabbath they'll condem you for doing exactly the same thing they are doing grocery shopping geesh!

They can be as religious as they want as long as they do not try and impose it on anyone else. If it bugs you, tell them. Posting bible verses in the bathrooms? Ugh, rip 'em off and give them to them. They shouldn't put their stuff in everyone's face. Religion is not a bad thing as long as it isn't done like that, in my opinion anyway.

If they are not of your interest, ignore them. Why do you want to deel with them? Leave them alone let them do whatever they likes. You are not the one to redirect them. It is belongs to each persons decision whether to believe in God or not. If you dont like them, dont curse them.
