in your case you should have not appologized to him.You should have just said,whatever happend was not good,I hope it will never happen again.Just let him he go his way and you should have came your way and you should have appologized to god for doing that to another human being,We have no right to physically punish anyone.

Some would say that admitting you're wrong to yourself makes wise, admitting you're wrong to the other person invovles makes you mature.
Being mature sometimes means biting the bullet, saying I'm sorry, and taking your punishment. You'd be amazed at how many people just wanna hear "I'm sorry."

Yes.
Everyone does the wrong thing from time to time. Admitting wrongdoing keeps your relationships in good shape. Not admitting wrongdoing destroys relationships and creates resentment.
It is also good for you too...helps decrease guilt. When you admit it, it helps you to forgive yourself.
