Why are there two dispictions (spelling) of dragons. One is from Europe and one is from China. You know what I mean. For example movies dispiction of dragon in Europe (England) is totally different than the one from China. I think the one in England is gray and the one in China is red. And were they ever exist on earth before or after the dinosaurs? Or why do we even mention of dragons right now if they are not in existant.

Just like any other mythology and fantasy, there are certain truths to which what we hear in common are real or not. Dragons do not exist, have not existed, and will not exist. They merely were imaginative characterizations of creatures such as dinosaurs. They exist in stories only because of the fact that they resemble something for certain people. That is to say, dragons are mere symbolisms.

The thing about China and England is that they differ in location and culture, and perhaps much, much more. China's symbolism of the dragon means it portrays fortune, wealth, prosperity and luck. That's why they're usually red. (In Chinese, red symbolizes prosperity).
In England, dragons are gray because, there, they symbolize monstrosity or weirdness. English myths and stories used the dragon in the Medieval times as something evil. Something to fear. And so therefore, knights in shining armors had to slay the dragon.

So, even though Chinese think of the dragon as something good, the British on the other hand think of the dragon as something dangerous. The dragons merely existed in tales and fictional literature; scientifically, there had been no evidence whatsoever of remnants of dragons. ok? get it?

First of all, no evidence of dragons has ever been found. In that case, we cannot know if they existed before the dinosaurs...nobody was there to witness that time! Also, dragons are myths, thats why we mention them. Then are legends which are deeply strung into certain cultures (china, Certain other European countries).

base line situation which isn't oftentimes pronounced: our ancestors did no longer communicate issues in terms of scientific classifications. They used experiential standards which made appropriate experience in pre-commercial societies. consequently some dragons have been little question genuine. it rather is appropriate to consult with Komodo Dragons on the Galapagos, that have been known to kill and consume small people as an occasion. definite of direction we've existed alongside with dinosaurs in view that we developed. Dinosaurs are birds. by potential of any smart scientific variety of the type which does no longer pass decrease back in time. long after the Comet yet until now the advent of people there one poultry they have got here across fossils of advance into curiously a suitable predator in South usa. over the years, as people take further and added substances, different animals have decreased in length: the size of lots of the fishes we take as we communicate has shrunken dramatically over the final hundred fifty years. by way of what continues to be maximum of our historic previous guy or woman populations have lived between quite a few fantastic and each from time to time threatening creatures. as nicely, as Adrienne Mayor has pronounced (examine substances) we've been conscious of fossils for an extremely long term. One look at Albrecht Durer's fanciful portrait of a Rhinocerous, drawn from verbal account, and a powerful analyzing of what paleoarcheologists say with regard to the reconstruction of dinosaurs, will make it very sparkling that our money owed may be incredibly unusual. i've got not got faith there is one explanation for dragons. a number of our dragons heavily resemble what advance into in all probability obtainable. some would possibly no longer, even however on the comparable time, the main achievable reasons for anybody account are multicausal. meaning no remember if or no longer they have been genuine and the place they lived do no longer precisely have an answer previous the only given interior the previous legends.

If you do some research on dragons, you'll find that many cultures all over the world have variations of dragons. Most are reptilian and serpentine in shape, some have feathers, and they are frequently associated with fire and/or water. Quetzalcoatl is the Mexican feathered-serpent god, for example. The Chinese, Japanese, and other Asian nations have their various dragons in many colors who serve many purposes, such as bringing rain or causing earthquakes, but for the most part they are associated with good and not evil. In China, only royalty could display their dragons bearing five claws--everyone else had to paint them with four claws.

The ultimate Japanese "dragon," of course, is Godzilla! From what I've read, his creator designed him to resemble a cross between a dragon, a dinosaur, and a Chinese fu dog (a sort of mythical guardian/good luck symbol).

In Europe, dragons (and snakes, which they resemble) came to be associated with evil, hence the stories involving knights slaying dragons to save the beautiful virgin, which is symbolic of Christians defeating Satan to save the church. The Bible depicts Satan as a dragon in the book of Revelations--proof that this book was written with the European mindset.

Dragons never existed, but dinosaurs did, and I have read that the Chinese sometimes sold ground-up dinosaur fossils as "dragon bone" for medicinal purposes. It is possible that ancient people, discovering these fossils of huge, monstrous animals whose nature they did not understand, interpreted them as dragons and developed their myths around them. Their association with the sky and fire may have some other source, such as volcanoes, comets, or meteorites...but it's all speculation. Humans have created innumerable imaginary beasts, including unicorns, cockatrices, basilisks, leprechauns, sea monsters, angels, demons, etc. that probably resulted from misinterpreting natural phenomena and then factoring in an overactive imagination.

I think when ancient humans discovered real dinosaur fossils they thought that these where the bones of dragons and so it went on...so actually it seems that dragons are just another name for dinosaurs. And every culture just made up they're own "real" vision and stories about them.
