To err is human. Some commit mistakes more often than others because they are not conscious of having committed mistakes and are also not aware to take correctional measures. Those who take correctional measures they seldom repeat the same mistakes, and in the process become reformed people.

Mistakes are often derived from people clumsiness, or lack of mental awareness on the things they do. All bigger mistakes comes from but a small one and the consequences are big or small as the case maybe. The effect is greater than the cause.

The most common things that people utter when they commit mistakes is "I am not perfect, am just human" well, if you pay much attention to what you are doing, mistakes can be avoided but is certainly not erradicated.

You really can't judge a mistake by how "big" it is. A small mistake to one person could mean the world to another. As to why people make mistakes, well, lack of judgement perhaps. A person realizes they made a mistake after they have made it, and no one really knows what forced him to act out as he did. No one is perfect.

Who's to decide how big a mistake is or how small? We all make mistakes...end of story. Why? Because we were born lost, wandering in the dark, and the ground is riddled with holes; we're bound to fall through every now and then, but we climb out of them.

The quality of most decisions depends largely on the information available to the decider and bad information will generally result in bad decisions. Quite possibly prejudice and ignorance might be included in the pool of bad information.
