my philosophy was always, if you hate your job but make alot of money it isn't worth it then, id rather love my job and not alot. that's something worth staying at. a job isn't always about money, its about quality instead of quantity.
people will remember you for the work you did, and not the paycheck

Depends on how bad it is at work. All jobs have their problems. If you are very miserable then I would find another job and then change but not before you find another one. Just have to remember that you never know if the next job you find will turn out even worse than the present job you have. You never know. So before you up and leave think about how much crap you are willing to put up with and if there is a way to make it better and tolerable. I hate being at a job that I despise. It makes for a miserable life all around. Some times you just have to suck it up and eat alot of crow. Money is not everything but it sure helps huh? Give it some thought and weigh it out. You will figure it out as to what to do. Some times jobs I have hated turned out to be good after waiting and trying to make it more pleasant.

Stay at the job but start looking for something else. Eventually you may find something that pays as well but you like more. I stayed at a job I hated for 3 years and kept looking off an on for something else. I now have a job I really like, less stress, more pay and better benefits! If you need some additional training in certain areas take some classes.
Good luck!

You're earning good money now but don't like the job.
In 5 years, if you stay at this job - how much money will you be making? Is it good money but dead-end?
If you think about what you like doing and start preparing yourself to do that now - where will you be in 5 years?
For example - if you love art and decide you'd rather be doing something artistic - what courses could you be taking now to get you ready to make a move to do what you enjoy?
Don't quit your job until you have something else lined up but sometimes it's worth making a sacrifice to do what you love. Save some money and take some courses while you're earning well to prepare you for the leaner times while you're interning at what you love.

Are you trained for anything else? You shouldn't stay at a job you hate, but you do need to make money while you're being trained in another field. More people love their jobs than you think. You should too. Get out when you're able. You'll do a better job at something you like.

It depends on the circumstances. If you have a family and financial obligations, they have to take priority if you're considering a job change. That said, imagine how good life could be if you loved your job. You get up in the morning and look forward to going to work. Not many people have that opportunity. I didn't, but I did find that it is easier to do a tough job surrounded with people who are supportive and friendly than to do an easy job surrounded by unpleasant, uncooperative people. A lot to think about. Good luck.

A friend of mine once complained of her job because she did not make enough money. She went to work elsewhere because of more money. Then she was not happy because it put more stress on her because she did not like the job and complained. Then she figured it out that the money was not the most important thing but being happy and having a peace of mind are everything. She went back to her first job and has been there now for 19 years

If you only have 3 years at the job you most likely have nothing to lose except the pay so there is no harm in looking. Any job I had I really liked either was short term or paid wages so low I had to look for something else.

Well, what do you want more? Money to pay the bills or to be happy at work? I did the same thing as a water plant operator. I stayed because the money was great but I was bored to death. I worked there for nine years. I moved on to another state and they had contracted their water facilities out payed less. I became a mechanic and had to work my butt off. I moved back to my origional state and guess what? They contracted out these water facilities too. The pay is half what it used to be. I stayed a mechanic. I wish it had never changed.

If you are interested in money then yes, but if you want a job that you like then no. As someone once told me: A job is something that you do because you have to, but a career is something that you do because you love to.

If you are unhappy beyond your tollerance, then it's time to move on. However....have something else lined up ready to go befor you walk out.
If you start now building your own online business, you can have some extra cash rolling in as well. Do it right and you will see, after hard work and time, nice results. Should you need some ideas on various types of businesses, you can check out this site that I came across. Some good articles too.
