I'm used to broadband internet where I can just plug in and go, but my aunt, whom I am staying with for the summer, has dial up and no wi-fi signal. How can I access the internet with no AOL or MSN account installed on my laptop?

you might just have to go to a local coffee shop and use their free wifi. hey at least it will get u out of the house for a little bit and enjoy summer even though you are going to be on the computer anyway.

Your laptop should have an intergrated phone modem, so just plug in the phone line, and Windows should do the rest. I can't tell you all the commands, but you probably will have to make a new internet connection to be saved by Windows.

if you're going to use a phone modem you'll have to subscribe to an isp, you can try using a 30 day free trial isp then have it disconnected afterwards.
