Of course you are missing something. This is the human condition.

What makes YOU so fortunate is that at LEAST you know that money will not buy you happiness. It is a knowledge that FEW people really have.....they chant that cliche over and over but probably do not believe it.....YOU know.... YOU do.

So.....the question can now be turned around.....if HAVING the money doesn't do it for you.....and SPENDING the money still doesn't do it for you....what good is having money???

It goes many ways from here. Most of the answers you read will say something like, "Well give me some, then" or something similar.......

Use your financial freedom to explore the world around you. Stay involved with people who are changing lives because they really CARE about kids or sick children or illiterate adults or food banks, etc. Maybe medical research could help a loved one......find a student to support that wants to do research and help them in school.

Sponsoring another person one-on-one may be an answer to the ho-hum of charity events that you probably go to all the time.

Congratulations on your good fortune. Find your smile and your heart and go share your support and work-ethic with someone.

Happiness will be found in a partnership for doing good things. Stop writing checks.........roll up your sleeves and get in there with others who are trying to better the world.

Some of the richest people I know are miserable. Money and happiness do not come hand in hand.
In fact having more money usually gives you more responsabilityand problems.
You need to find companionships that are true and not for your money.
Until then take some of that cash and do fun things. Go on weekend trips, get involved in some sort of classes, crafts or hobbies. Take a shopping trip. Pamper yourself at a spa. Get a pet. Heck, get a few. Motivate yourself.
Maybe you'll meet some friends while involving yourself in things.
Keeping a positive attitude will also help. Look at the good things in life, not the bad.

I know how you feel. I don't have money and I'm happy. I have a great girlfriend that loves me and I love. I have my Faith and my philosophy is that of a Buddhist though I am NOT a Buddhist.
The world is suffering
The cause of all suffering is desire
You can choose not to desire or desire and deal with the outcome
I feel that I might be happier with more dependable transportation though. I just need about $15,000.

Last wensday my youth minster gave a serman type thing on this exact thing. If you think money is all you need to be happy, it wount. Now don't get me wrong its nice to have but the happines wares off and then u want something else. Then something else and youll always want more its like a hole that u cant fill. But theirs one thing that will fill it, Jesus. If your not envolved in a local church get involved. Listen to the Word of Christ, read the Christan Surival Guide... in other words the bible is the way!

It is your life and life experiences that make one happy, not money. Money only helps you live your life in a way you want. It puts food on the table and a roof over your head. Don't ever expect any more than that.

Money can only make you comfortable and have material things. Love is what makes you happy. Why don't you use that money to help others, and focus your energy on being a good person, and love will come to you when you can learn to love yourself.

Money doesn't change you. You are still you. More money makes you more of what you already are. Maybe you should concentrate on why you haven't been happy without money in the equation.

Money is just a thing; it has potential, but is empty. Relationships with others bring happiness. Service to others brings happiness. Doing productive, satisfying work brings happiness. Peace with God brings joy.

I was looking for government grants and some how I came accross your question? You need to be happy with yourself, your life, your job, your surroundings. Life is only what you make of it. And if you need to get rid of some of that money just let me know!
