To hopflower: I ask cuz I'm Italian and curious to know what other people think of my country, my culture, blah blah blah and if the stereotypes italians=mafiosi, big noses, short men still exist, pizza, sole, etc still exist.

I find them earthy and very sexy people.
The music and art they have produced is heart wrenching and beautiful.
Italian Opera is the best.
I am not sure of what is going on at parties and gatherings, however that I attend.
Although I try to be friendly and socialize, I am many times ignored or treated rudely by the women.

I find Italian men more friendly than Italian women.
I have been offended and insulted and accused by Italian women out of nowhere of all kinds of stuff.
I think that many Italian women in my area are jealous and over bearing and jump to far too many conclusions!
Italian women are very possessive of their men and I find them very controlling.
I have always liked Italian artists and opera.

The Mafia and Al Capone come to mind. So I think about their organized crime. And how incredibly stupid some of them are.

Kind, decent open-hearted people. I spent a week in Rome a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised by how friendy the locals were. Everyone really made me feel welcome.
