Tell me one time in recorded history a permanent peace was achieved by talking, meetings, and negotations?

The truth is, lasting peace is achieved ONLY by destroying the enemy's will and ability to fight.

Then we have to define "PEACE". Were we at peace on September 12th, the day after 9/11? Our soldiers weren't over in the middle east, fighting, killing and dying. So were we at peace then?

Peace isn't defined as a lack of conflict. Not in today's world. Peace is defined as not being threatened.

Following those truths, President Bush is fighting to remove the threat, and to kill the enemy's will and ability to wage war.

President Bush right now is the greatest peacemaker on the planet today.

~~~~~~~~
Jimmy Carter, a peacemaker? What peace has he achieved anywhere in the world? The answer is, NONE. A Nobel Peace Prize? Big deal. Yasser Arafat got one too! The Nobel Peace Prize isn't worth the metal used to make it.
Jesse Jackson, a peacemaker? Same question I asked for Carter... WHERE? Where did Jackson create peace? What war did he win?
I always thought that perhaps Jimmy Carter was trying to be a peacemaker, even though he was made fun of by many people on the right as being naive and just playing politics. I'd like to think that at least he's been trying.
I'll second the motion for Jimmy Carter! He continues to fight for social justice, even in his 80s. He started Habitat for Humanity and won the Nobel Peace Prize. By the way, Carter is against the Iraq War.
If you believe in the Bible when the "peacemaker" comes it will be the anti-christ. Or someone else said Bill Clinton. Hmmm....I think I see a connection.
