yes !I remember the cartoon.
I am 42 and I did not like cartoons as a child, but this was different !.It was very similar in style to anime ,japanese cartoons which have since become very popular (like pokemon).
He had huge eyes with big stars in them, just like the cartoon style .Marine boy had special gum which helped him breathe underwater and a kind of "bubbly" voice ,he also had a pet dolphin who helped him and a girl(mermaid )who was his friend.I loved it but no-one seems to know what I am talking about when I mention it.

Yeah, I do, In the sixties by Seven Arts animation and I loved the theme music too. The instrumental one rather than the one with words. Come on BBC, ITV or C4, bring it back as kitch entertainment. Channel 5 need'nt bother as they never bothered giving us terrestrial reception in the South East. Bastards!
