I came back from Iraq and went to Mass. After the Mass the Priest said during the announcements, "Oh he doesn't know it yet but, there's a soldier who just came back from Iraq. In the back room we're having a big dinner for him." I cried my eyes out.

A stranger who analyzed 3-4 lines of a casual email from me & a small conversation over phone asking me how i was & some general talk, surprised me by telling me all about my nature, strong points, weak points, hurts, victories & life within 3 minutes!!! (not incident wise but quoted examples which best suited me & situations i had encountered). That incident was amazing.

the nicest surprise i ever received was a computer... my dad surprised me when he gave me a computer as a gift when i became the valedictorian in our school...

i have a few...my friends threw me a surprise baby shower, and i was so happy and emotional i cried. another time my husband bought me a gorgeous diamond ring...just because! no special occasion, he did it just because! he also took me on a surprise trip to italy!
