will not go on line keep saying no con no modem can't find

Wherever you put in the phone cable to your computer, if you open up your case, it should be attatched to a card-like thing, called a PCI card. Push this to make sure it is in all the way. If it is not attatched to a card, then it is integrated into the system, so therefore you don't need to worry about it being lose.

are u still on dial-up? high-speed connections have their modem on the outside.
You will know your modem is all the way in if you can screw it into the PCI port without forcing anything. But really I suggest you get an ethernet card and start using high speed internet. It's not much more expensive and you can share it.

call your internet service provider for help. To keep you as a customer you have to be able to get online - so they will help you.
