Iran is being threatened by the US after we attack Iraq. In order to protect itself, it is seeking for defense in nuclear weapon. If it does not get nuclear help, US will find other reason to attack Iran. Maybe another Weapon of Mass Destruction, and after we conquer Iran, we will make a public speech stating that we got the wrong information from UK again.

I would like to travel around the world and visit places like Iran. I have seen fotos, in National Geographic and others, showing areas of scenic beauty there. There is a lot of interesting historical areas.
I am impressed with fotos of Iraqi and Iranian children. They always seem bright, happy, and curious about their surroundings. They seem more motivated to study than children in many other countries. I have been in very different places like Peru where children seem perpetually unspirited and unhappy, and the adults never even crack a smile.
However, Iran is too volatile right now. The ayatollahs will have to lose favor with the Iranian people for the country to get on the right track.
Iranian students have traditionally led the way. I hope they will revolt and stop those religious zealots from leading their country down the path of social backwardness and political isolation.

Iran has courted Hezbollah, Al-quaeda, and Hammas with the Iranian presidents recent statements of calling for the destruction of Israel and that it's his purpose to facilitate the return of Allah by starting the true Jihad against the infidels. This will draw those organizations to him in the event he is attacked. Afghanistan on his eastern border and Iraq along his western border he is now in a nuclear proliferating sandwich. We along with the UN should seal Ir ans borders to ensure heavy sanction are adhered too. No oil for food scandal this time. After time surgical air strikes targeting nuclear facilities and communication grids. There are top officials in Iran's government probably being courted by foreign intelligence to fill the vacuum left after his own military and people tear him down from with-in. Thus another democracy begins and the domino effect in the Middle East will really begin to roll. Other tyrannical regimes will have they're people begin to rise up. Qaddafi got the message early in Libya.

I think iran is one of the most backward countries in the world, to brutally torture and kill anyone seems to be on the daily "to do list".look at the faces of the people in iran , there facial expressions are filled withanger and hate, they follow a religion that says it is ok to kill in the name of god! where is the beauty and happiness that should come with life when a woman cannot even show her face and if she does her husband has the right to beat and disfigure her because she is his property, if every country in the world believed "an eye for an eye" then what would be the reason for a judicial system, "an eye for an eye " is not justice it is self enjoyment and it is wrong. "ask yahoo" is for honest answers answers and mine is that iran is a polluted country filled with the misfits of life that get there jollies by commiting unseen acts of terrorism and wickedness. this is what i think of iran

I feel it is a very unstable country. Potenitally dangerous if not delt with correctly.
The majority of the popultaion is under 30.
The younger pouplus loves american things and culture, and want reform from their theocratic government. This generation even though the majority of thier parents died fight Iraq supplied by the US, want Western style reform.
They want nuclear engergy, and the United States during the ford adminstration mandated it on them...the logic was instead of using oil as thier engergy source.
There was potential for political change in the late 90's and early 2000's but the diplomacy adopted by the current adminstration was to cease all talk.
There have been many opurtinities lost with this country.
other than that it was one of three countries named in an axis of evil speech. The other is preparing against a US premtive offensive, and the other is in a current civil war brought by political and securcity instability.
