Windows XP?

Question

I am a PI and need to know if there a way to hack into Windows XP from the Administrator log in page? Basically I need to know if there is a way I can find out a password without resetting it....

The answer given about the battery is not correct. The battery he is refering to is the cmos battery located on the motherboard. Removing that will only reset the bios not Windows passwords.

Try booting from a bootable CD-ROM - then you'll be able to access the hard disk of the PC. This is likely to succeed - but it is not 100% guaranteed. It will fail if:

1) The PC has a BIOS password. There is no way to get around this without resetting it. But, if you've got as far as the administrator login prompt, then either the PC doesn't have such a password or you already know it. Most likely the former.

2) The user of the PC has set up policies to disable booting from the CD-ROM. Whether they have done so depends on how knowledgeable they are about security. It is unlikely that they have done so, though.

3) The user of the PC has encrypted areas of the disk (partitions, folders, or files). If this is the case, you won't be able to read them, unless you can figure out the encryption key.

If you remove the battery off the motherboard, it removes all passwords. I think it has to out for 2 minutes.

if they have a hint that should help u i figureud out my bro's and it was hard but easy....but if that person doesnt have a hint haha ur not in luck......no just ask the persons friend if they no it..
