Definitely, I had 2 weeks off, I would normally head into the Eastern Sierras for camping and trout fishing. About 700 miles round trip. This year I stayed home and worked on projects here. Had a good time too. I built some stacking toy boxes for by grandkids, built a waterfall/stream/pond thing so at least I could have the sound of a trout stream.

No, I think it is natural for prices to go up from year to the next. It is something I usually expect to happen. While gas may have gone a little higher than normal over the past year, it isn't going to stop me.

Not really, if you need to travel either for work or leisure, just have to grin and bear it and pay the additional fuel cost.
