Eve though donkey is the hardest worker of all animal still we take its name to associate it with a person who is silly. Why ?????

Well, a lot of that is culture-specific... Here, "donkey" is more a stubborn or rude person than a stupid one.

Not sure of the language (Chinese or Japanese maybe)but there is an Asian language that the word "donkey" translates to "crazy". The old video game Donkey Kong translated to Crazy Kong...

because a donkey is also a dumb beast, stubborn, and needs a smack on the rear in order to "get the point" ie., it's time to work.
