I am not looking for a responce that echos mine. I gave NO opinion. We have lost the respect of many of our allies. You may think we have done well by invading Iraq, however many, many of our former allies disagree eith us. They demenstrated against us in Ireland for crying out loud. Get your head out of the sand. We have fences to mend regardless of what some people think. Get your head out of the sand and smell the dead roses.

We need a president who will not make decisions based on knee-jerk reactions, but who will listen and respect the opinions of the UN and other nations. It's going to take a long time, however, to rebuild a good international relationship.

Please tell me you are kidding! You are self-proclaiming to be "older and wiser" and you truly believe that after all America has done and will continue to do that we have LOST respect? Being "older and wiser" I feel you should stop and think about history!

There is NO blame in this response...it simply makes me crazy when individuals ask questions, knowing full well the response they are looking for, and then scold others when we answer you with what we feel or beleive. Why???? Because we are not telling you what you want to hear?

Personally, a variety of answers no matter how I feel about any particular point of view, is a bonus as I may have been given an opportunity to educate myself further!

America, like every other country in this world, has made mistakes. However, think about everything we have done well.....women and children can attend school in Afganistan and the Talliban is no longer the ruling party (look at Karzi's response to the video from al Queda's newest "leader" calling for attacks against Afgans...it was stern and swift and most importantly, he stated that the safety of his fellow citizens was of utmost importance)....the world is changing, older and wiser.

Terrorist no longer have super-human powers! Because of the men and women who VOLUNTEERED to serve their country(s) the rest of the world is now seeing that terrorists are simply men! Evil, mean spirited men, who simply want to kill, rape, torture, mame and humilliate innocent men, women and children.

Shouldn't your question be something more like, "After the American and coallition forces eliminate terror/terrorists in Iraq, and help stabalize a free democracy where all men, women and children are free...free to pray to the God of thier choice, free to listen to the music of thier choice, free to study at the school of their choice, free to become whatever they dream of becomming,... will the rest of the world start to give Americans the respect they deserve?"

Well we apologize to the world for protecting OUR COUNTRY. We beg for their forgiveness. We ship them wheat, corn etc. @ no charge. We give them use of OUR military to guard their countries at no charge. We replace OUR FLAG with theirs! That should do it!

It's not going to be easy...think about how long after WWII there was a stigma against Japan and Germany... we're talking about decades here...
