Terrorism cannot be stopped. It is asked for and permitted in the Quran. Yes!, murder is explicitly allowed on behalf of God in the Quran.
Read the Quran. It is fundamentally opposed to Christians, Jews, Hindus and Bhuddists.
The peace that Muslim clerics talk about in the Quran is really meant for other Muslims ONLY! Yes, it's true. Don't believe the hype. READ THE QURAN! Learn about the lies they tell our politicians and the media. WHY?
As for saving ourselves:
Let's spend most of the Defense budget on new energy tech.
First we pack up all of our toys from around the world and bring them and all of our Troops home to USA(Yes, even pull out of Europe).
At that point if Terrorists still threaten USA, we will have no choice but to make them extinct.
We (nobody) has ever won an emotional argument using logic.
You cannot reason with an unreasonable person or group.
Why do we take responsibility for their decisions? Do we make them hide among innocent children? We should tell them and the World that we no longer are responsible for what a terrorist decides to do. We are only responsible for defending ourselves.
We need to learn the lessons from history.
Historically the only "diplomacy" that has worked in that region is violence, destruction and the threat of human extinction.
It has alwayd been true in that region that no peace was made between groups until one or both was threatened with annihlation.
We cannot treat them like we would a Western Civilization Judeo-Christian country or group. They do not understand or believe in our basic principles on society and diplomacy.
We just need to leave.

Terrorism is a relative concept. It's always the other guy.
If you ask the Israelis what they think of the Jews who bombed the King David Hotel and other realted acts, they say those Jews were heroes. To the British, they were vicious terrorists.
The use of violence to achieve political and social change can never go away as long as there are disenfranchised people anywhere.

The modern "terrorist" is traditionally regarded as someone who commits an act of violence in the name of a cause he or she embraces. Usually, the cause is religious or political in nature. Terrorism in it's purest form cannot be stopped in a free and democratic society. The very freedom that western countries hold so dear is also the perfect arena to perpetrate a terrorist act. In order to ensure that no one can blow up a bomb in a crowded subway platform, civil liberties must be stripped away. The freedom we have to travel anywhere we want, to talk to anyone we want, to write anything we want...all of this will have to be curtailed to combat terrorism. We have already taken a few small steps in that direction in our airports and other venues where we are subject to random searches and longer lines. To combat terrorism, we need to understand who we are dealing with. We are dealing with individuals who feel compelled to fly loaded passenger jets filled with men, women and children into buildings. The measures we take to fight this type of person will have to be, in my opinion, drastic.

Most terrorism stems from dissatisfaction with conditions at home and then gets re directed toward some one who has nothing to do with the problem.
Citizen participation in government, lifting heavy handed religious rule off the people.

Blow up the entire Earth. As long as there are even 2 people left alive, one will find a way to terrorize the other.

Only by talks, and the US and other arms producers refusing to sell arms to any other nation, even the closest of allies, ultimately, stop producing arms totally, and then destroying individual arms arsenal
Utopia, I know, but maybe when the entire human race faces an external threat, maybe we humans may unite instead of being fragmented as we are now.

George Bush "we have to beat the terrorists." He doesn't know who they are.
When the US invaded Iraq, why didn't the US secure the borderd with Iran and Syria....where do you think the insurgents came from? The US created the insurgency problem after they invaded because, prior to the US invading, there was no insurgency problem....

Don't play games with them. Bullet in the head end of story. they have now died as they wanted to. OR we can strap a dildo on them and make them walk around naked in the streets on a leash with a woman holding the leash. Yeah, lets go with that one first, then the bullet in the head.
