I love story songs, usually. And the ones that just make you feel so good that you want to dance or at least wave your arms around in the air. LOL.

The Proclaimers singing "I Wanna Be" from the movie Benny and Joon - wow, I can't help but dance my tookus off, even if I'm driving down the highway! That is EXACTLY what I've always wanted from love - somebody whose life I affect just that way.

Frank Mills did a sad song in the 70s called "Love Me, Love Me, Love" which really wasn't a great song, musically, but it tugged on your heart strings and made you sad. Great harmony was an attraction, too. AND Three Dog Night's "Old Fashioned Love Song," as it kind of made you feel that love is timeless and you can even get all sappy with the old classics when love hits you in the gut. LOL.

Really good songs need to yank some strong emotion out of you, one way or the other, so happy or sad, a person's choices for favorites are always factored with emotion.

Human's relate to music emotionally, that's why Rock N Roll was such a kick in the pants when it began, and why different groups of people react so strongly against some types of music, even today. I love it all, although I find that there isn't much variety when it comes to rap, being mostly rhythmic talking, which leaves what you like or don't like about it mostly a choice between lyrics.

Oh well. Hope you get some great answers to this one! Terrific subject to bring up!

my favorite love songs are by the Isley Brothers. The slow rhythmic beat relaxes your mind and body...not to mention the sensual lyrics ie., in between the sheets, footsteps, make me say it again.
