10. My mom told me we were going the day before and I'm said No!. She asid I'll have to get one someday, and that I was developing. The my grandma said, "If you don't wear a bra now while you going through puberty, do you know what happens?" I shook my head no. "Your breasts just keep growing because there is nothing other than your shirt to hold them back." All of this is true. My mom actually came in the fitting room with me, and looked at my bust! She had measured me the day before. She was like, "Ok. Take of your shirt." I started to get nervous, because she didn't tell me what we were doing. "I'm just gonna measure how big your chest is so we can get a bra." I wear one all the time now. Sure, it's uncomfortable sometime, and sure, it shows through some shirts, but you get used to it.

I needed a bra when I was in 3rd grade because I developed early, but I didn't get my first bra until the 4th grade. None of my friends needed them until much later and I didn't want to be the only girl wearing one, but I just couldn't hold out four them before getting my first; my mom forced me to get one the next year (4th grade).
As it turned out, most of my friends eventually got "training" bras, but as for me...I went straight for the "already-trained" bras. I can't express how humilitating it was to wear a B-cup while I was still in elementary school! Ugh! And, boy, did I stick with the extremely baggy tops for quite a while just to camouflage the fact that I was bigger in the chest department than most of my teachers! Again, ugh! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for the genes!

Fifteen and in the ninth grade. My parents always said that there was nothing to put in the bra so it was a waste to spend money for one. I don't know how I finally got one; I don't remember the details. My own daughters got their first ones as soon as they wanted one, like, 4 years old. I reconstructed/took in the smallest size available, and...Wallah!
