The band is Warrant.
The song is "I Saw Red" it was released on their second album Cherry Pie in March of 1990.
Here are the lyrics.
Oo it must be magic
How inside your eyes I see my destiny
Every time we kiss
I feel you breathe your love so deep inside of me
And if the moon and stars should fall
They'd be easy to replace
I would lift you up to heaven
And you would take their place
Then I saw red
When I opened up the door
I saw red
Heart just spilled on to the floor
And I didn't need to see his face
I saw yours
I saw red then I closed the door
I don't think I'm gonna love you anymore
Everyday I wake up
I thank God that you are
Still a part of me
Opened up the door to which
So many people never find the key
And if the sun
Should ever fail to send his light
We will burn a thousand candles
And make everything alright
Then I saw red
When I opened up the door
I saw red
Heart just spilled on to the floor
And I didn't need to see his face
I saw yours
I saw red then I closed the door
I don't think I'm gonna love you anymore
I've been hurt
And I've been blind
I'm not sure that I'll be fine
I never thought it would
End this way
Oo it must be magic

Well, I'm not sure, cos I'm an Aussie, and it's famous here, but not sure about elsewhere. The one I'm thinkin of is called "I See Red", and it's by the eighties NZ band Split Enz, sung by Tim Finn. Great song.

My wild guess.....
Back in my schooldays acting the fool days
One and one and one makes three.
And a man said: "Kid, come and cut yourself a piece of the big time."
Armour clad horses riding Trojan horses
Never made sense to me.
I didn't wanna be a part of the great debate on moonshine.
CHORUS:
Stop pay the price, they said to me,
Take this advice. You're out of your head.
Said: "Stop, hold the phone, this has to be
Cut to the bone. Too bad I SEE RED
I SEE RED, I SEE RED, I SEE RED.
When the sly man stumbles, twists and he tumbles
He always lands on his feet
And he sets his face towards the far horizon.
Won't you come this way, can't you go that way
But his rhythm don't miss a beat
'Cause he's doing everything he can to keep surviving.
Stop pay the price...
So who wants a riot? People should be quiet.
Don't we give them good T.V.?
You can learn to love your lifetime of distraction.
Nothing on the inside, nothing on the outside
All the way from A to Z.
I can live without that kind of satisfaction.
Stop pay the price...

The Rush song "Red Lenses" from their 1984 release "Grace Under Pressure" starts with the lyric "I see red."

this is the link for all the lyrics from the split enz song 'i see red'. if you want to get a copy of it, the best album to get is 'History Never Repeats' which is the greatest hits of Split Enz. They split up in the 80s.

"Red, I'm seeing red... i'm seeing red... I'm seeing red !!!!!"
'Seeing Red' by the fantastic Minor Threat. I know, it doesn't say "I see red" but I didn't know that one and I did know this one. And who knows, maybe you asked this to start a collection :D
