Chemotherapy (one of the treatments for some kinds of cancers) can cause hair loss. It kills rapidly growing cells like those int he hair follicles or the linign of the gut.
But hair doesn't always fall out and there are things like cold caps that can be worn on the head to help prevent hair loss.

Chemotherapy makes your hair fall out.
Even if it's only by mouth you will lose your hair.
Better to lose your hair, than lose your life!
