It is a problem, as the James Bond film, Die another day, went the press needed more news, so it would just create some, that is the way it is going to go there are now 5 or 6 24 hour news channels and they all need allot of money to keep them going, with not enough news they generate it, or exaggerate what they have, they expect politicians and businesses to talk to them because they have a camera and if they don't they must be hiding something! ah a new news story.
Why do we let it happen, i don't know, agree with the suggestion about not buying papers, but its TV that is the most dangerous, and the best for us if it is done right.

Mediocrity is the norm. Most people do not have either the wit, intellect, time or resources to develop a fully informed opinion and so rely on others to provide information with which to do so. The value that people put on the sources of information available to them is based in trust due to past experience of the information being suited to their limited observations. Obviously the potential for abuse of this trust by unscrupulous individuals or organisations who control the information that is available to people is huge - and in my estimation, is rampant.

Sky news told me the media wasn't controlling me an I believe it!
But seriously, We want to have access to the genuine facts. Sometimes a media source doesn't have all the facts, well thats fine. If they could just tell us what they definitely know. We don't need people to speculate for us. Give us the information, we can come to our own conclusions and opinions. We are not stupid, We do not need to be told what to think!!

Do what I do and don't read the papers. They're full of crap anyway. I may watch the news now and again but rarely. You don't need the papers to stir hatred with immigration issues, people are going through with it all around them. Where I live it's a nightmare.

If you want to stop being controlled by the media, do as I do: Don't buy newspapers, don't watch the news on the telly. Think about what actually matters to you, not what the media tell you to.

If somebody tells you a lie every day you will eventually believe it.
